About the role
The objective of this role is to provide support to individuals with disability in line with the NDIS Quality and Safeguard Standards and funding objectives.
You will support clients based on their individual support plans and needs within a residential accommodation setting.
As a Support Worker your responsibilities will include:
Mentoring and skill development, empowering clients to explore and develop their personal interests and hobbies.
Assisting with independent living skills, personal care, activities of daily living and household cleaning.
Administering medication and implementing individual-based support plans.
Completing clear, factual, and concise written documentation within an electronic reporting system (CTARS) and via email.
Providing personal care such as toileting, showering, preparing meals in line with individual mealtime management plans.
Liaising with external stakeholders and supporting the client in decision-making to achieve their individual goals and aspirations.




Helping clients engage with their local communities and cultural services through community participation programs and recreational activities.

So what do you need?
These can be physically demanding roles but are also positive and rewarding.
To be successful you'll need demonstrated experience supporting and caring for people with a broad range of support needs relating to disability.
You'll also need:
Passion for the support and wellbeing of people with disability
Excellent communication, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Empathy and a caring nature
Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent (candidates currently studying will be considered)
Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) certificate
Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence
Current NSW Working With Children Check Clearance
NDIS Worker Screening Verification (or ability to obtain before starting)
