About The Role
The Community Engagement Coordinator plays an important role in connecting LifeFlight with the Toowoomba and wider regional community, coordinating fundraising, events, presentations, and community engagement initiatives that help support our lifesaving mission.
Based at the Toowoomba Aeromedical Base, the Clive Berghofer LifeFlight Centre, you'll build positive relationships with individuals, businesses, community organisations, volunteers, and other stakeholders to grow community support and create meaningful opportunities for people to connect with LifeFlight.
You'll coordinate a diverse range of fundraising and community activities, from events and presentations to the activation of the A Beary Big Trail event, celebrating 20 years of LifeFlight on the Darling Downs.
You'll also lead the regional volunteer network, ensuring volunteers are well supported and engaged.
Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, you'll help identify and develop opportunities that strengthen LifeFlight's presence and impact across the region.
This is a12-month fixed-term, full-time positionproviding parental leave cover, offering a hands‐on opportunity to make a genuine difference in the community while supporting LifeFlight's lifesaving work.
About You
You're a positive, community‐mindful person who enjoys connecting with people, bringing communities together, and creating meaningful impact.
You're organised, proactive, and confident building relationships with people from all walks of life.




Experience in event coordination, fundraising, or community engagement will be highly regarded, along with the ability to confidently engage with stakeholders, volunteers, businesses, and community groups.
You'll Bring
At least 2 years' experience coordinating fundraising events, engagement activities, or similar community initiatives.
Strong communication, relationship‐building, and networking skills, with confidence speaking to groups and presenting to an audience.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM systems (Salesforce experience highly regarded).
A flexible approach, with the ability to travel and work occasional evenings or weekends when required.
A current Queensland driver's licence.
It would be great if you also have:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
Experience coordinating volunteers or developing fundraising and engagement plans.
Knowledge of, or strong connections within, the Toowoomba and wider regional community.
