As the Technical Designer for Menswear, you will provide technical expertise throughout the product development lifecycle, partnering closely with Design, Product Development and Production teams to bring creative concepts to life.
You will ensure garments meet the brand's fit, construction, quality and compliance standards by delivering accurate technical specifications, leading fit sessions and collaborating with suppliers to achieve production-ready outcomes.
Through your attention to detail, problem-solving skills and strong stakeholder relationships, you will help deliver high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
How You Will Contribute
Provide technical advice and guidance on garment construction, fit, grading and manufacturing throughout the product development process
Create and maintain accurate technical packs within PLM, ensuring suppliers have complete and accurate production information
Prepare and assess samples for fit sessions, capturing fit comments and technical updates to support product improvements
Own garment fit across assigned categories, maintaining measurement specifications, fit blocks and construction standards
Partner with Design, Product Development and Production teams to resolve technical issues while balancing quality, cost and critical path requirements
Ensure garments are production-ready by validating specifications, QA requirements, compliance standards and bulk approvals
Build strong relationships with offshore suppliers to support consistent product quality and timely delivery
Monitor technical deliverables against the critical path, proactively communicating risks and solutions to stakeholders




Maintain accurate product specifications, testing records and quality documentation to support compliance requirements
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance technical processes, fit standards and product quality.
Capabilities We Value
2+ years' experience in Technical Design, Product Development or a similar apparel technical role
Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, grading, patternmaking and apparel manufacturing processes
Experience developing technical specifications and managing products from concept through to bulk production
Working knowledge of PLM systems, technical packs and garment quality standards
Experience working with offshore suppliers and supporting technical vendor relationships
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within critical path timelines
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Excel and Outlook; CAD or patternmaking software experience is advantageous
Qualification in Fashion, Design, Textiles or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
