About the opportunity

is seeking an experienced
HSEC Manager / Advisor
to support the mobilisation and delivery of conveyor maintenance services at the Simandou Mine Processing Plant in Guinea on a 6/3 roster.
This is a senior, site-based HSEC position responsible for implementing and assuring health, safety, environmental and community controls across core maintenance, shutdown, breakdown and mobilisation activities.
Reporting to the Contract Manager, you will provide visible field leadership and work closely with supervisors, employees, contractors and client representatives to ensure critical risks are effectively controlled.
Key responsibilities
You will:
Implement the project HSEC management plan and critical-risk-control framework.
Establish field-verification, inspection and HSEC reporting programs.
Develop and review activity-specific risk assessments, safe work instructions and emergency procedures.
Verify HSEC readiness before personnel, plant, equipment, chemicals or high-risk work are mobilised.
Conduct work-front inspections, permit checks, traffic checks and environmental inspections.
Undertake critical-risk-management verifications and corrective-action follow-up.
Support supervisors with JSEA quality, pre-starts, toolbox talks and critical-control verification.
Coordinate incident, near-miss, hazard and environmental-event reporting.
Lead or support evidence-based incident investigations.
Track corrective actions and escalate overdue high-risk actions.
Prepare weekly and monthly HSEC reports, metrics and trend analysis.
Lead improvement activities following shutdowns, incidents and audits.
Stop work where uncontrolled HSEC risks are identified.
Prevent mobilisation where required HSEC controls or approvals are incomplete.
About you
You will have:
At least seven years' HSEC experience in mining, construction, maintenance or shutdown environments.
A recognised HSEC qualification, safety diploma,



degree or equivalent professional experience.
Strong knowledge of critical-risk controls relating to isolation, lifting, mobile equipment, working at heights, confined spaces, hazardous energy and line-of-fire exposure.
Experience conducting incident investigations, risk assessments and audits.
Strong understanding of permits, isolations and high-risk maintenance activities.
Demonstrated ability to coach and influence supervisors and trade crews in the field.
Experience managing inspection programs, corrective actions, environmental controls and mobilisation assurance.
Strong written reporting and data-analysis skills.
Experience with ENABLON, Forwood or equivalent HSEC and action-management systems.
Professional working proficiency in English.
French-language capability will be highly regarded, particularly for local workforce engagement, consultation and training.

Appointment will be subject to:
Medical and fitness-for-work clearance.
Visa and international travel requirements.
Site inductions and access approval.
Verification of qualifications, licences and competencies.
Company and client mobilisation approval.
