Looking for a People & Culture role that will genuinely challenge and grow you?
We're looking for a capable, grounded and influential People & Culture Business Partner to join Keolis Adelaide.
Reporting to the Manager, People & Culture, this permanent role will partner with leaders across our Rollingstock and Network Presentation portfolios. Working in a complex, operational and unionised environment, you'll provide trusted advice across the full employee lifecycle while supporting leaders to navigate people challenges with confidence.
This is a role for someone who thrives in complexity, enjoys being close to operations, and can confidently balance strategic business partnering with hands-on HR delivery. No two days are the same, and you'll have the prospect to influence people outcomes across some of the most operationally critical areas of our business.
How You'll Make an Impact
In this role, you will be trusted to:
Act as a hands-on Business Partner to operational leaders, providing practical, timely and commercially grounded HR advice.
Coach and influence leaders to strengthen capability in performance, conduct, engagement and workforce management.
Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance, development and separation.
Lead and provide advice on complex employee relations and industrial relations matters.
Conduct and support workplace investigations, ensuring fair, balanced and compliant outcomes.
Build positive relationships with employees, leaders and union representatives to achieve practical and sustainable outcomes.
Support leaders through organisational change, workforce planning and business improvement initiatives.
Lead and support Enterprise Agreement bargaining, implementation and industrial consultation.
Become a Return to Work Coordinator, or be willing to obtain the qualification.
Beyond this, you will contribute to broader People & Culture initiatives, including:
Engagement, culture and performance initiatives.
Continuous improvement of HR systems, processes and employee experience.
Workforce reporting, insights and data-driven decision making.
Cross-functional People & Culture projects that strengthen our people, leaders and organisation.
What You Bring to the Role

We are looking for someone who is confident operating in a complex operational environment and enjoys partnering closely with the business.
Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor.
Demonstrated experience managing complex employee and industrial relations matters.
Experience participating in Enterprise Agreement negotiations and industrial consultation.
Experience leading workplace investigations and managing sensitive people matters.
Strong knowledge of employment legislation, Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
Ability to coach and influence leaders in a practical, trusted and solutions-focused way.
Strong judgement when managing complex or high-risk people matters.
Experience working in fast-paced, operational or unionised environments.
Confidence using HR systems and workforce data to support decision making.
Return to Work Coordinator accreditation, or willingness to obtain.
How You'll Succeed Here
You'll be successful in this role if you are:
Calm, credible and confident in ambiguity.
A natural relationship builder who earns trust quickly.
Practical, commercially minded and solutions-focused.
Comfortable balancing operational HR delivery with strategic business partnering.
Organised, responsive and able to manage competing priorities.
Someone who enjoys being 'on the ground' with the business, not just behind a desk.
Adaptable and energised by the variety that comes with working in a fast-paced operational setting.
Why Join Us?
This is an opportunity to work in a true Business Partner role where you'll influence leaders, shape workforce outcomes and help deliver practical people solutions across a complex operational business.
You'll join a collaborative People & Culture team that values partnership, accountability and continuous improvement, while working in an industry that keeps South Australia moving.

We are open to 0.8 FTE - 1.0 FTE for the right candidate.
If you're looking for a role where you can use your HR expertise, strengthen leadership capability, navigate complex employee and industrial relations matters, contribute to Enterprise Agreement negotiations and genuinely make an impact, we'd love to hear from you.
