What you'll do
Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure that every guest feels welcomed and appreciated, fostering a loyal customer base.
Operate advanced coffee equipment, such as Eversys machines, to prepare a variety of high-quality drinks that meet our standards.
Complete comprehensive training programs to uphold food and beverage quality and safety protocols.
Implement strategies to reduce waste and manage inventory levels effectively in response to customer demand.
Adhere to Health and Safety Regulations as well as Food Safety Standards at all times to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
Master all training materials related to products and services to maintain brand consistency across all interactions.
Work collaboratively with the Operations and Marketing teams to enhance customer engagement, drive sales, and cultivate a loyal community around our café.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that the café environment is inviting and pleasant for customers.
Participate in promotional events and community engagement activities to strengthen our presence in the neighborhood.
Stay informed about coffee trends and product offerings to provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers.
Handle cash and electronic payments accurately, ensuring a smooth transaction process for customers.
Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient service and a positive experience for all guests.
Requirements
A background in customer service or hospitality is required, with a focus on delivering excellent service.
Flexibility in availability to meet the operational needs of our café.
For Part-Time roles: A commitment of 24 hours per week, with availability for at least 3 days, including 2 peak days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
For Full-Time positions: A commitment of 35 hours per week, with availability for 4-5 days, including 2 peak days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
Preference will be given to candidates who can work during weekends and holidays.
Must possess the legal right to work in the UK.
Nice to have
Experience in specialty coffee preparation or barista training is a plus.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a café environment.
Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures.
Skills & tools
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with customers and team members.
Strong time management abilities to navigate busy service periods efficiently.
A proactive mindset with problem-solving skills to adapt to the fast-paced café environment.
A genuine passion for coffee and beverage preparation, with a desire to learn and grow in the field.
Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and managing cash.
