About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused
Cashier/Till Operator
to join the team at Autobarn Dubbo. This is a
full-time position
based in
Dubbo, NSW ****
. As a Cashier/Till Operator, you will be at the heart of our retail operations, providing efficient and friendly service to our customers whilst managing all point-of-sale transactions. This role is essential to ensuring our customers have a positive shopping experience and that our store operates smoothly and profitably.
What you'll be doing
Processing customer purchases accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system
Handling cash, card payments and other payment methods with precision and attention to detail
Providing excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering queries and resolving issues professionally
Maintaining a clean and organized checkout area
Assisting customers with product information and recommendations
Supporting the wider retail team with stock management and merchandising as required
Following company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations
Handling refunds, exchanges and complaints with courtesy and professionalism
What we're looking for
Previous experience as a cashier, till operator or in a similar retail customer service role
Robust numeracy skills and accuracy when handling cash and payments
Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and electronic payment terminals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A friendly, patient and professional demeanor with a genuine commitment to customer service
The ability to work efficiently under pressure, particularly during busy periods
Reliability and punctuality,



with the flexibility to work shifts that may include weekends and Public Holidays.
Honesty and integrity in handling cash and sensitive customer information
A positive attitude and willingness to support team members and learn new skills
