Newcastle Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Anaesthetic Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative Team on a permanent basis.
You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.

We are a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park.
The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit.
We also havea cardiac suite includinga cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16 bed Coronary Care Unit.
A private maternity suite including6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery isavailable for families in the Newcastle region.Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge.
As a Perioperative Registered Nurse – Anaesthetic your responsibilities will include:
Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation




Deliver evidence based nursing care
Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
Ensure patient and staff safety
Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and AINs to deliver patient care (RN only)
Proactively assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patient
Document into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology
Current Registration with AHPRA
12 months' minimum experience as an RN – Anaesthetic
Working with Children check (if relevant)
Commitment to Quality Patient Care
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Works well independently and within a team
Basic computer skills

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF - NSW Nurses and Midwives' - Enterprise Agreement, a salary ranging from $*****-$***** per hour.
