Senior SMSF Accountant - North Sydney, NSW - Full time - SMSF specialist
We are looking for a Senior SMSF Accountant to take ownership of a portfolio of self-managed super funds, from financial statements and annual returns through to the technical questions advisers and trustees rely on us to answer.
This is a senior, hands-on SMSF role for someone who knows superannuation compliance inside out and wants to do it properly.

What you will do
Prepare SMSF financial statements, member statements and annual returns for a portfolio of self-managed super funds
Manage end-to-end SMSF compliance, including contributions caps, pension obligations and the requirements of the Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act




Review fund data and reconciliations through cloud-based SMSF software, keeping every fund accurate and audit-ready throughout the year
Coordinate independent SMSF audits and resolve any queries that arise
Act as a technical sounding board for advisers and trustees on contributions, pensions, limited recourse borrowing and complex fund events
Stay across superannuation legislation as it changes and apply it in practice across the funds you look after
Support and mentor SMSF administrators in the team
What you will bring
Solid experience administering self-managed super funds end to end
Strong working knowledge of SMSF compliance, tax and the SIS Act
CA, CPA or equivalent qualification, or significant progress toward it
Confidence with cloud-based SMSF administration software such as Class or BGLA meticulous eye for detail and genuine care about getting the work right
Explicit communication with advisers, trustees and colleagues
