About the Job
There is an exciting opportunity with the Rural Maintenance teamfor a Plant Operator - Dozer.
This position is responsible for delivering a high standard of construction and maintenance of Shireroads.
Whilst this position is predominantly Plant Operator -Dozer, the position will undertake operation of other plant and perform other duties as directed.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Undertake plant operator duties as directed (predominantlydozer operations) but including roller, loader, backhoeetc.
Perform work under limited supervision either individuallyor in a team setting.
Monitor, maintain and construct council infrastructure androads as required.
Maintain appropriate documentation as directed by theForeman Rural Materials Sourcing & Contractor.
Maintain all associated plant & equipment relevant toposition in compliance with operational practice.




Provide supervision and on the job training to other staffas required in liaison with the Foreman Rural MaterialsSourcing & Contractor.
Undertake other duties as required.
This is a full time position, working 99 hours per week.
About you
In order to succeed and thrive in this position, you musthave:
'HR' class license.
Minimum three years continuous and competent experienceoperating dozer.
Ability to perform routine mechanical maintenance onvehicular plant.
Demonstrated experience and skills in road construction /maintenance or earthmoving environment.
Ability to be able to work in a team environment.
Time management and organisational skills.
Sound knowledge of Occupational Safety & Healthrequirements.
Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision.
Physical fitness to undertake the inherent requirements ofthe job.
Ability and willingness to work in remote camp locationsand stay overnight as required.
White Card – Construction Safety Awareness Training.

$118,****** per annum includingovertime
