Classifications for this position range between HS3 - HS25 ($74,****** - $82,****** per annum, pro rata).
About the Role
The Research Assistant provides research coordination and administrative support for clinical research undertaken within the Nephrology Research Unit.
The role supports participant recruitment, study coordination, ethics and governance activities, data collection, regulatory compliance, maintenance of essential documents and communication with investigators, sponsors and study participants.
Support recruitment, screening, enrolment and retention of research participants.
Coordinate participant visits, investigations and follow-up.
Assist investigators in day-to-day conduct of multiple concurrent studies.
Collect, verify and enter research data into approved databases.
Maintain source documents, Investigator Site Files and Trial Master Files.
Respond to data queries and ensure documentation is audit ready.
Qualifications and Experience
Current ICH-GCP certification or willingness to obtain.
Bachelor's degree in health science, Biomedical Science, Medical Science, Public Health, Clinical Research or related discipline.
Experience in healthcare, clinical research or research administration.
Knowledge of research ethics, governance and Good Clinical Practice.
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
High level of computer literacy and data management skills.

About Nephrology
The Renal Service provides comprehensive care across the continuum of chronic kidney disease, from outpatient management through to haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, home dialysis and kidney transplantation.
The service supports metropolitan, regional and rural dialysis programs and maintains an active clinical research portfolio comprising investigator-initiated and commercial studies.
