For the architect who wants to lead - not just contribute
You have the experience to run projects, guide clients and make key design decisions.
Now you want a role where you can genuinely take ownership, rather than being limited to one stage of delivery.
This opportunity is suited to an experienced Project Architect who enjoys staying close to the design while also driving documentation, consultant coordination and construction outcomes.
You will lead projects from the first client conversation through to completion, with the freedom to influence the design and the support of a collaborative studio around you.
The Opportunity
Lead residential, commercial and mixed-use projects from concept to completion
Take ownership of design quality, programme, documentation and delivery
Work directly with clients and become a trusted point of contact
Coordinate consultants, contractors and internal project teams
Produce and oversee planning and construction documentation
Attend design meetings, presentations and site inspections
Solve design and technical challenges as projects progress
Mentor junior architects and help shape how the team works
Contribute to client relationships and future project opportunities
About You
You are likely looking for more than another documentation-heavy role.
You want the opportunity to lead meaningful projects, remain involved in the design and see your work carried through to the built outcome.
You will bring:
8+ years' experience within an architectural practice
Registration as an Architect, or eligibility to register
Experience leading residential, commercial or mixed-use projects
Strong design ability backed by solid technical knowledge
End-to-end project delivery experience
Confidence managing clients, consultants and competing deadlines
Strong knowledge of the NCC, Australian Standards and planning requirements
Advanced Revit skills
A collaborative approach and genuine interest in mentoring others
Why This Role?
Own projects instead of being restricted to one delivery stage
Maintain real influence over design and built outcomes
Work across a varied project portfolio
Join a studio that values both creativity and technical quality
Work closely with decision-makers in a team-oriented environment
Build toward greater leadership and responsibility within the practice
This is a strong move for a Project Architect who wants creative input, client exposure and full project ownership - without stepping away from the design work they enjoy.
