to join our team.
Our customers include some of Australia's leading hospitals, aged care providers, hotels, casinos, stadiums, restaurant groups and hospitality venues. About the Role
As a Field Service Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a broad range of commercial catering equipment across our service area.
Your responsibilities will include:
Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults
Carrying out breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance
Commissioning new equipment
Inspecting equipment and identifying potential issues before they become costly failures
Managing van stock and maintaining your company vehicle
Providing professional customer service and technical advice
Representing Rapid Catering Repairs with professionalism at every customer site
You'll work on a wide variety of commercial kitchen equipment including:
Fryers
Dishwashers
Cooking equipment
A Typical Day at RCR
No two days are the same.
One morning you could be carrying out preventative maintenance on a combi oven in a major hospital, before heading to a hotel to diagnose a dishwasher fault, then finishing the day commissioning new equipment for a busy restaurant or stadium.
You'll work across a wide variety of commercial catering equipment, solving problems, helping customers keep their kitchens operating and building relationships with many of Sydney's leading hospitality and healthcare organisations.
While you'll work independently throughout the day, you'll always be backed by an experienced and supportive office team who manage your schedule, source parts quickly and are only a phone call away when you need assistance.

About You
You'll be someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in quality workmanship and values providing excellent customer service.
To be successful you'll have:
Proven fault-finding experience on commercial catering equipment or similar commercial electrical/mechanical equipment
Robust electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
Electrical Disconnect/Reconnect Licence
Current Australian Driver Licence
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Experience within the commercial catering equipment industry is highly regarded; however, technicians from related industries with strong fault-finding experience are encouraged to apply.

Overtime and after-hours work are paid accordingly, providing excellent additional earning potential while maintaining a balanced roster.
