The role
We're seeking a
Part-Time Branch Assistant for our Whitehorse branch (30 hours per week across Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday).
The hands‐on multi‐faced role requires team members to work in cold environments picking and packing orders and have strong administration skills ensuring food safety documentation is maintained.
Reporting to the Branch Coordinator the role also includes :
Supporting with labelling and storage in cold environments to Food Safety Standards; delivery of meals; managing of stock, supplies and stocktakes; maintaining food safety documentation; supporting audits; and ensuring overall cleanliness;
Liaising with volunteers as required;
Accepting referrals, taking meal orders and supporting intake as required;
Following up when clients aren't present during delivery windows and promptly record/report welfare, health or emergency concerns.
Upholding workplace policies, confidentiality, conflict-of-interest processes, and aged care requirements including SIRS and the Quality Aged Care Standards.
Collaborating with the broader team, stakeholders, volunteers and suppliers; communicating effectively across teams.
Reporting incidents, participating in follow-ups,



and actively contributing to a safe work environment.

Strong customer service experience, with a friendly and solution-focused approach.
Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and confidence in learning new systems.
The ability to work independently, quickly grasp new concepts, and manage tasks without supervision.
Effective communication and rostering skills for working with volunteers.
A natural problem solver ability and who handles challenges calmly and efficiently.
Relevant qualifications and physical fitness to support food service delivery
