About Us
Built in the early ****s, St Patrick's stands in Sydney's Rocks area, with a rich and profound history reaching back to the very beginnings of Catholic life in Australia. St Patrick's was previously under the care of the Marist Fathers **********). Since its relinquishment back to the Archbishop of Sydney, a new Parish Priest was appointed in January **** alongside three other diocesan priests, demonstrating a strong commitment to continuing the vibrant faith life of this special parish within the Australian Church.
St Patrick's Church Hill welcomes people from all around Sydney and beyond on a daily basis. It is one of the most active Catholic churches in Australia, offering 31 Masses during the week (including 10 Sunday Masses) and up to 30 hours of rostered priest time for reconciliations each week.
