Berryman Diesel Maintenance is seeking multiple
Trades Assistants
to join our team at Boggabri Coal Operations. This is a
fulltime casual position
on a 5/4 day and night rotating roster with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the trades and services industry. As a Trades Assistant, you will support on site tradespeople in delivering maintenance and repair services to Boggabri Coal's large range of mining equipment.
What you'll be doing
Assisting qualified tradespeople with maintenance tasks
Preparing work areas and organising tools and equipment
Performing general labouring duties including cleaning, sorting and material handling
Supporting the setup and breakdown of work stations
Assisting with the loading and unloading of vehicles and equipment
Following health and safety procedures and workplace guidelines




Learning trade skills and techniques under the guidance of experienced team members
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
What we're looking for
Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks
A willingness to learn and develop skills within the trades industry
Robust attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a workshop environment
Reliability and punctuality
Previous experience as a Trades Assistant or in a similar labouring role is advantageous but not essential
Valid driver's licence
