Due to continued growth and expansion, my client is seeking to employ a senior design coordinator to support the Design Manager and Design Coordinator in delivering outcomes that meet client expectations, regulatory requirements and project objectives. You will assist with co-ordinating consultants/stakeholders and design documentation, ensuring high quality, compliant and functional design solutions are achieved in line with project timelines and budgets.
Key responsibilities include:
Assist the Design Manager to implement and maintain design processes, standards and procedures.
Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors and clients to support alignment of design outcomes with project objectives and budgets
Assist in the preparation and coordination of architectural, structural and interior design documentation
Support Design Manager in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, codes and standards in QLD, including building regulations and planning requirements
Monitor design progress and mandate ??? Not mandatory.
Prepare documentation and materials for client presentations,
design reviews, and approvals and attend meetings as required.
Coordinate with Project Managers to integrate design requirements into overall project planning and delivery.
Maintain accurate project records, design registers and document tracking systems
Our ideal applicant will have proven experience supporting design coordination within the construction sector,
preferably multi residential
(Tier 1 and Tier 2). You should also have a working knowledge of design processes, standards and regulatory requirements in QLD.
Proficiency in design software and tools relevant to architecture and construction is paramount, as is your tertiary qualification in architecture, design or related field.
