The BBQ School Pty Ltd – Indooroopilly QLD
The BBQ School Pty Ltd is seeking passionate Cooking Class Teachers and American Smoking BBQ Chefs to join our team in Indooroopilly, Queensland. This is a contract position, where you will be responsible for delivering exceptional BBQ and smoking techniques to our customers in an engaging and interactive format.
The role is ideally 10 to 15 hours per week, normally over 3 weeks per month and includes a prep half day or day for receive and store plus organization in advance of the weekend classes and a full day of classes, normally on a Sunday and at times both Saturday and Sunday. We also offer mid-week corporate events that we run normally 1 to 2 per month.
What you'll be doing
Conducting hands-on cooking classes and demonstrations to showcase the art of BBQ and smoking techniques
Providing expert guidance and education to customers on various BBQ and smoking methods, equipment, and recipes
Preparing and cooking high-quality BBQ dishes and smoked meats in front of customers
Maintaining a clean and organized work environment during and after cooking classes
Collaborating with the team to continuously improve the customer experience and class offerings
What we're looking for
Extensive experience as a professional chef or cook, with a strong expertise in BBQ and smoking techniques




Demonstrated ability to engage and educate customers in a hands-on, interactive setting
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a passion for sharing your BBQ and cooking knowledge
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences
Solid organisational and time management skills to ensure effective class delivery
Relevant qualifications in the hospitality or culinary arts industry
