The Formwork Carpenter will construct, install, and dismantle formwork for concrete structures, including foundations, columns, walls, slabs, and other structural elements.
Responsibilities include reading and interpreting construction drawings, measuring and cutting materials, assembling formwork systems, and ensuring accuracy, stability, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
The role involves collaborating with site supervisors, engineers, and other trades, maintaining tools and equipment, and contributing to efficient site operations on commercial and civil projects.




The Formwork Carpenter will also help identify and resolve on-site issues and support continuous improvement in work methods and safety practices.Qualifications Strong formwork carpentry skills, including experience with conventional and modular formwork systems and concrete construction methods.Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications, with accurate measurement, layout, and material calculation skills.Demonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, including secure use of tools and equipment and adherence to site procedures.Good teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, engineers, and other trades on busy sites.Proven reliability, time management, and attention to detail in delivering high-quality work under project schedules and deadlines.Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in carpentry or formwork, and eligibility to work in Australia.Previous experience in commercial or civil construction, particularly in large-scale or resource sector projects, is highly regarded.White Card (Construction Induction), and other relevant tickets or licenses (e.g., working at heights, EWP) are an advantage.
