What you'll do
You'll provide technical leadership across a diverse range of residential and low-rise projects while supporting the development of engineers within the team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering structural designs and engineering solutions for residential and low-rise developments
Reviewing and approving engineering documentation and reports
Providing technical guidance, mentoring and quality assurance for engineers within the team
Managing relationships with builders, developers, homeowners and other stakeholders
Attending client meetings and site inspections as required
Supporting compliance, risk management and engineering best practice
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across systems, processes and service delivery
Ensuring projects are delivered safely, accurately and on time
Project exposure includes:
Single, double and triple-storey residential dwellings
Class 2 residential developments
Townhouse developments
Low-rise commercial and warehouse projects
What you bring
You are a technically capable engineer who enjoys solving problems, supporting others and building strong client relationships.
You'll bring:
Bachelor of Civil or Structural Engineering
Minimum 5 years' experience in residential structural engineering
Registered, or working towards Registration in WA
Strong experience designing residential and low-rise structures
Sound knowledge of reinforced concrete, masonry, steel and timber design
Experience with engineering software such as ClearCalcs, Space Gass and Toolkit
Solid understanding of Australian Standards, the NCC and residential design requirements
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a consulting environment
A commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement
Highly regarded
Experience with RAPT and/or Inducta software
Experience mentoring or leading engineers
Consulting industry experience
