The Opportunity
We are looking for a CNC Plasma / Oxy-fuel Profile Operator to support our workshop operations.
This role offers a great long-term opportunity for an experienced operator, or for a practical, motivated person ready to learn.
You'll work with modern profile cutting equipment, handling and cutting plate across mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium, from 3mm through to 200mm thick.
The position is full-time working at our Kingston facility.
What You'll Do
As a CNC Plasma / Oxy-fuel Profile Operator, some of your duties will require you to be able to:
Liaise with the cutting machine programmers;
Shop floor programme using Hypertherm's ProNest software;
Source material from the plate yard using forklift trucks;
Load plates and remove cut components using gantry cranes;
Be responsible for the efficient material scheduling of components;
Accurately record job time and material traceability;
Inspect and verify cut components to ensure quality standards are met;
Maintain good housekeeping practices and day to day maintenance of the machine.

Requirements
Successful candidates must have/be:
Motivated, enthusiastic and eager to learn;
Commitment to safe work practices;
Familiarity in a heavy workshop environment or machine operation;
Forklift license;
Materials handling experience;
Dogging licences (not essential);
Basic computer literacy;
Willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime;
Able to pass drug and alcohol screening.
