This is a permanent full-time position commencing ASAP
The Service Planning and Contracts branch works with external providers to deliver programs supporting the well-being and engagement of students.
Programs include the School Breakfast Program, Chaplaincy and Student Wellbeing Officer services, Engagement Programs for Aboriginal Students and engagement programs for severely disengaged senior secondary students.
We work with internal and external stakeholders to manage and develop contracts with providers to effectively deliver these services to schools.
The Role
The successful applicant will provide effective professional and strategic management support to the functions of Service Planning and Contracts.
They will undertake research, assessment and monitoring of initiatives which have operational significance and policy implications and will also assist with the development, implementation and management of initiatives, programs, projects and strategies
This applicant will additionally support the monitoring, evaluating and refining strategies to deliver key projects and initiatives.
They will provide policy and operational management advice to the Manager and Principal Consultant and they will be expected to undertake research, and prepare and quality assure briefing papers, correspondence, support documents, project budgets, reports, discussion papers and Ministerials.
They will also monitor, analyse and provide advice on branch expenditure and project budgets while additionally providing support and advice to staff on requirements, ministerial protocols, procedures, standards, and content to facilitate the provision of quality advice within deadlines.
This applicant will also collaborate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders on matters relating to identified projects and initiatives and branch activities.
