About us
The Orange Region Vignerons Association is a leading organisation dedicated to promoting and supporting the wine industry in the Orange region of Current South Wales.
We represent local vignerons and work to advance the interests of our members through advocacy, networking, and industry development initiatives.
Our mission is to strengthen the Orange wine region's reputation as a premium wine destination whilst fostering collaboration and innovation amongst our members.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced
Executive Officer
to join the Orange Region Vignerons Association on a
contract basis
.
This is a pivotal role that will be instrumental in driving the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the Association.
Based in
Orange, NSW ****
, the Executive Officer will serve as the primary point of contact for members, stakeholders and external partners.
You will be responsible for managing administrative functions, coordinating key initiatives, and ensuring the Association operates efficiently and effectively to achieve its objectives.
Key responsibilities
Managing the day-to-day administrative operations of the Association, including correspondence, scheduling, and record-keeping
Coordinating and organising member events, meetings, and industry activities to foster networking and engagement
Preparing reports, minutes, and documentation for meetings and strategic planning sessions
Secure funding and manage membership.
Supporting the governance of the Association by maintaining compliance with constitutional requirements and regulatory obligations
Develop and implement the annual business plan.
Coordinating communications and marketing initiatives to promote the Association and its activities
Providing administrative support to the Association's leadership and committees
Managing budgets, invoicing,
and general financial administration within delegated authority (Xero proficiency required).
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing efficiencies in Association operations
What we're looking for
Proven experience as an Executive Officer, Office Manager, or similar senior administrative role within an association, not-for-profit organisation, or corporate environment
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with database management systems
Sound understanding of governance, compliance, and administrative best practices
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying solutions
Experience in event coordination and member engagement activities including media.
Knowledge of the wine industry or agricultural sector is highly desirable
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Maintain ORVA's website and digital presence.
