About Our Client
Our client is a leading provider of heavy-duty wheel and rim solutions, servicing the mining, construction, and industrial sectors.
They are committed to delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining a solid focus on safety, reliability, and teamwork.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking experienced Trade Assistants with welding experience and a Forklift Licence to join their Kewdale workshop.
This is an excellent opportunity for motivated and reliable Trade Assistants looking to secure ongoing work with a well-established industry leader.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Trade Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting workshop operations through a variety of manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance tasks.
You will utilise hand and power tools, assist with welding duties, operate forklifts, and ensure products are prepared to the highest quality standards.
Your Duties Will Include
Setting up and operating hand tools, machine tools, welding equipment, and workshop machinery
Inspecting equipment prior to operation and reporting any faults or potential malfunctions
Reporting safety concerns or hazards to supervisors promptly
Grit blasting rims, wheels, and associated components
Spray painting, assembling, stripping, stamping, greasing, and grinding rims
Drilling and tapping components
Loading and unloading trucks using a forklift
Packing pallets and preparing products for dispatch
Completing manual handling and general labouring duties
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment through general housekeeping tasks




Carrying out all work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

Monday to Friday
7:00am 4:00pm
What You Will Need
Current Forklift Licence (essential)
Current Driver's Licence
Minimum 1 year experience as a Trade Assistant and Forklift Operator
Basic Welding Skills And Experience
Experience using hand and power tools in a workshop environment
Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
Ability to complete physically demanding tasks
Reliable work ethic and ability to work effectively within a team
