Saltbush Social Enterprises is seeking a compassionate and skilled Social and Emotional Wellbeing Worker for our Indigenous Skills & Employment Program (ISEP) in Darwin.

Excellent Remuneration:
$90k to $95k + 12% super + salary packaging + 5 weeks annual leave
Hours:
Normal business hours, with flexibility for additional hours as needed
Travel:
Possible travel to regional locations where Saltbush operates
Compliance:
Current National Police Clearance, NT Working with Children (OCHRE) Card, NT driver's license, First Aid certification, and suitable qualifications & professional registration

Primary Purpose:
As a Social and Emotional Wellbeing Worker, you will provide clinically informed, person-centered care that emphasises trauma-informed practices.
Working closely with participants, you will create individualised support plans, manage assessments, and collaborate with a network of service providers to address specific needs and foster resilience.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain sustainable,



trusting relationships with participants.
Conduct needs assessments to develop tailored support plans, integrating specialist support where necessary.
Provide early intervention and preventive counselling to promote mental well-being, self-esteem, and personal empowerment.
Develop and maintain partnerships with external providers (e.g., AOD, mental health, housing) to offer comprehensive wrap-around care.
Document and share de-identified success stories and program insights to inform stakeholders.
Assist mentors and trainers with strategies for participant engagement and relationship building.
Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards, maintaining confidentiality and respecting cultural sensitivities.
Essential Criteria:
Qualifications:
Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Counselling.
Must be eligible for registration with PACFA, ACA, AASW or APS or equivalent.
Experience:
Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal adults, especially in trauma-informed counselling.
Skills:
Proven capability in managing complex cases, providing culturally appropriate support, and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
Communication:
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Self-Management:
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively as needed.
