Base salary in the range of $80,000 – $105,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience

Purpose of the role
The Automotive Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining electrical and electronic systems across a range of light and commercial vehicles, ensuring safe, reliable operation and high‐quality customer outcomes in line with company and manufacturer standards.jobsandskills.wa.gov+1
Key duties and responsibilities
Diagnose and repair electrical faults in a wide range of vehicles, using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment
Install and commission electrical accessories and aftermarket equipment, including wiring, relays, switches and control units
Carry out preventative maintenance and electrical system inspections on vehicles as scheduled or requested
Connect, wire and test power‐operated components and accessories, such as lighting, audio, safety systems and ancillary equipment
Test, repair and replace alternators, starter motors, voltage regulators, batteries and related components
Adjust, calibrate and test engine control systems and other electronic control units where required
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals and manufacturer instructions
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety procedures, manufacturer specifications and relevant Australian standards
Complete job cards, service reports and related paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, using the company's systems
Liaise with supervisors, colleagues and customers as required to explain faults, repairs and recommendations
Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements
Skills, qualifications and experience
Mandatory
Trade‐qualified Automotive Electrician (Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or overseas equivalent)
Demonstrated skills in diagnosing and repairing automotive electrical systems
Ability to use modern diagnostic tools, scan equipment and test instruments
Current Australian driver's licence (or ability to obtain an equivalent licence)
Desirable
Experience with modern vehicle electronics, including CAN‐bus and control modules
Experience with ADAS‐related electrical components and calibration support
Prior experience in field‐service or mobile auto electrical work
Personal attributes

Customer‐focused and able to communicate clearly with both internal and external stakeholders
Able to follow established procedures and safety requirements
Capable of working independently and as part of a team environment
