About the Job
There is an exciting chance with the Parks and Gardens to serve as a Playgrounds and Public Open Space Officer.
The role contributes to the maintenance and development of the Shire's public open space and playground infrastructure as a member of the Parks and Reserve Team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
General inspections, monitoring, maintenance and construction of public open space and playground infrastructure.
Maintain public open space and playground facilities in a clean and tidy condition by removing litter, cleaning amenities, servicing and general infrastructure maintenance.
Installation of general public open space and playground infrastructure and implementation of maintenance programs.
This is a permanent full‐time position, 85 hours per fortnight.
About you




In order to succeed and thrive in this position you must have:
Experience in undertaking public open space and playground infrastructure inspections, maintenance programs, projects and works.
An understanding of construction and plant maintenance techniques relating to public open space and playground infrastructure.
Ability to work within a team environment.
Benefits
Salary: $83,****** (including overtime) per annum
Permanent staff are entitled to:
5 weeks annual leave per year
The option of one rostered day off (RDO) every 4 weeks in exchange for working 40 hours per week
Minimum 12% superannuation employer contribution
Superannuation co‐contribution offered to a maximum of 5%
