About The Prospect The Logistics Officer is a hands‐on, site‐based operational role responsible for coordinating and executing all material movements from the warehouse to project sites and subcontractor locations.
This position ensures accountability and traceability of materials leaving the warehouse, manages custody documentation, and oversees on‐site material placement.
The role involves scheduling and supervising deliveries, inspecting outgoing materials, and maintaining accurate records in IFS and Excel.
The Logistics Officer works closely with transport providers, site logistics, facilities, and project teams to ensure timely, traceable delivery and immediate issue resolution.
What's Involved
Schedule and execute site deliveries, ensuring custody documentation and traceability.
Physically manage material transfers and placement at site/subcontractor locations.
Inspect outgoing materials and maintain accurate records in IFS and Excel.
Raise requisitions as required and liaise with Strategic Procurement when necessary.
Liaise with transport providers, site logistics, facilities, and project teams.
Ensure compliance with custody documentation and traceability requirements.
Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (COR) obligations in accordance with the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), including the identification, management, and mitigation of transport‐related risks.
Reverse logistics & supplier returns.
Coordinate returns of non‐conforming/surplus materials, including documentation, approvals, packaging, and ERP updates.
Kitting & staging coordination.
Liaise with Warehouse & Logistics to plan and execute kitting/staging aligned to work orders and project milestones.




Confirm kit completeness before dispatch to site/subcontractor.
Collaboration with Materials Management team to align on catalogue accuracy, part identification, and a joint backlog of catalogue updates.
Order tracking & coordination (interface with Material Expeditor).
You'll Need
Essential
Minimum 5 years' experience in operational logistics or site‐based material coordination.
Experience with Excel for stock movement and documentation.
Strong understanding of custody/transfer documentation, serial/lot traceability, and point‐of‐use placement.
Strong attention to detail, organisational and time management skills.
Excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to make operational decisions and resolve issues promptly on‐site.
Desirable
Experience in marine/defence or large‐scale engineering projects.
Experience in risk and issue management within projects.
Experience with ERP systems (preferably IFS) and WMS for stock movement and documentation.
Knowledge of HSEQ compliance and site safety protocols.
