Senior Medical Receptionist Role (Aged Care General Practice)

We are a specialised Aged Care General Practice dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare to older Australians.
With two conveniently located sites in central Gold Coast, we are seeking a motivated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our supportive and collaborative team.

About the Role
Our vision is to provide exceptional medical care to our elderly community and your role will include
Greeting and welcoming patients, family members and visitors
Managing appointment bookings and scheduling
Responding to phone calls, emails, and general enquiries in a timely and professional manner
Processing billings
Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with privacy legislation and best practice standards
Providing administrative support to Doctors, Nurses, and Allied Health professionals
Assisting with day-to-day practice operations and workflow management
Liaising with other healthcare providers
Managing referrals, correspondence, and clinical documentation
Supporting quality improvement initiatives and accreditation requirements where required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:




Previous experience working in a General Practice or medical reception environment (essential)
Experience using Best Practice Software (essential)
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
The ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing demands, and work autonomously
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
A caring, empathetic, and patient-focused approach
High levels of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
Strong computer literacy and administrative capabilities
A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a supportive team culture
Highly Regarded
Previous experience as a Practice Manager, Assistant Practice Manager, or 2IC
Knowledge of Medicare billing and compliance requirements
