Temporary part time opportunity (40 hours per fortnight) providing long service leave cover
About the role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Grade 2 Registered Nurse to join the Gastroenterology Medical Specialist Clinics team on a temporary part-time basis to provide long service leave cover.
Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care across a range of specialist outpatient services, supporting patient assessment, education, clinic coordination and continuity of care.
This role offers the opportunity to develop your expertise across a diverse range of gastroenterology services while contributing to innovative models of patient care.
Key responsibilities
Provide safe, evidence-based, patient-centred nursing care within Gastroenterology Specialist Clinics.
Support patient assessment, education, chronic disease management and coordination of outpatient care.
Work collaboratively with medical, nursing and multidisciplinary teams to ensure productive clinic operations and positive patient outcomes.
Contribute to service improvement initiatives, quality activities and the development of innovative models of care.
What we're looking for
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years' experience in gastroenterology or hepatology nursing.
Demonstrated clinical knowledge of gastroenterology, particularly the management of patients with chronic liver disease.
Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
