About the Opportunity
As an Integration Engineer, you'll work within multidisciplinary engineering teams responsible for integrating, configuring and validating software that is mission-essential, safety-critical and deployed on world-class naval platforms.
Working on the Saab 9LV Combat Management System, you'll collaborate with software developers, systems engineers and test specialists to integrate complex software into realistic operational environments and support successful system delivery.
Every day presents new technical challenges—from Linux administration and containerised applications to networking, automation and system-level troubleshooting.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll play an key role throughout the integration, verification, deployment and support phases of system delivery, including:
Integrating software into Linux-based integration and test environments
Configuring and maintaining virtual machines, servers and networking infrastructure
Deploying and supporting containerised applications using Docker
Troubleshooting software, infrastructure and integration issues
Developing automation scripts
Supporting Test Readiness Reviews, Integration Testing and System Testing activities
Supporting customer system installation and troubleshooting
Producing integration documentation and technical procedures
Working collaboratively with software, systems and test engineering teams
Maintaining Jira tasks,
effort estimates and defect records
Travel opportunities in supporting system installations and troubleshooting at customer sites.
What We're Looking For
About You
A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Australian Citizenship.
Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance (NV1 or higher).
Eligibility to access ITAR-controlled information.
You'll ideally bring experience in several of the following:
Professional Skills
Linux administration
IP networking
Docker
Virtualisation Technologies
Version Control Tools, such as Git
Bash or Python scripting
Ansible
Agile software development
Systems integration
Defence or safety-critical software
Understanding of Data Distribution Service (DDS) and related diagnostic tools
IBM DOORS
Atlassian tool suite
Test automation frameworks
Qualified Attributes
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to convey technical information clearly
Adaptability and willingness to learn
Ability to work in past-paced
dynamic environments
