The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Lead Electrical to support the successful delivery of electrical projects through project engineering, estimating, and technical oversight.
Reporting to the Project Manager, this role is responsible for leading projects from tender and planning phases through to execution and completion while ensuring safe, efficient, and commercially successful outcomes.
Working closely with operational and project teams, you will provide technical expertise, support business development initiatives, and contribute to the continued growth of Warrikal's Electrical Division.
It is advantageous for the successful candidate to be eligible to act as the Electrical Nominee under Warrikal's Electrical Contractor Licence and serve as a key technical authority within the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead electrical projects from tendering and estimation through to commissioning and handover.
Provide project engineering, estimating, and technical support across mining and industrial projects.
Develop project scopes, cost estimates, methodologies, schedules, and tender submissions.
Review and coordinate electrical designs, specifications, and project deliverables.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to client expectations.
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, supervisors, and electrical personnel.




Build and maintain robust relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, statutory requirements, and industry best practice.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, quality, and cost optimisation.
Support the requirements of Warrikal's Electrical Contractor Licence through technical oversight and nominee eligibility.
About You
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, trade or equivalent Australian recognised qualification.
Eligible to act as the Electrical Nominee under an Electrical Contractor Licence.
Significant experience delivering electrical projects within mining, resources, infrastructure, or heavy industrial environments.
Strong background in project engineering, estimating, and project management.
Demonstrated experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and risk.
Sound knowledge of HV/LV power systems, electrical infrastructure, protection systems, data, HVAC and Australian Standards.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver successful project outcomes.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of project financial performance.
Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
