Guided by the **** Strategy, Gender Equality is focused on ending the egregious human rights abuses of modern slavery and gender-based violence, shifting harmful social norms and legislative barriers to gender equality, and creating new economic opportunities that will empower women from the boardroom to the factory floor.
Although Walk Free will continue to work globally, all four bodies of work will prioritise Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
About the Opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for a Principal, Equal Economic Opportunity to join our Gender Equality team.
Reporting to the Director, Equal Economic Opportunity, this role will support the development and implementation of projects that advance women's economic empowerment across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
You will work across Minderoo, contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team, while building partnerships and approaches that increase access to capital, financial inclusion,



entrepreneurship and employment opportunities for women.
Day to day you will:
Develop philanthropic and impact investment approaches that support women's economic empowerment through entrepreneurship, financial inclusion and employment.
Manage philanthropic and investment partnerships that increase capital and resources allocated to women entrepreneurs and promote gender equality in the workforce.
Build trusted relationships with civil society organisations, social enterprises, philanthropic organisations, impact investors and private sector partners.
Engage businesses, banks and investors to increase women's access to capital, employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Work closely with Minderoo's Advocacy and Engagement function to support relevant law and policy reform.
Collaborate with the Impact Investing team to support opportunities aligned to the Equal Economic Opportunity impact investment strategy.
Partner across Gender Equality and broader Minderoo teams to identify opportunities for collaboration and support aligned projects.
About You
You are a collaborative and values-aligned professional with experience developing, delivering or managing strategies that promote gender equality and/or economic empowerment.
You bring strong stakeholder engagement capability,



sound judgement and the ability to work effectively in a matrixed workplace.
You will also have:
A relevant tertiary qualification and an understanding of commercial, financial or investment models (highly regarded).
Experience in gender equality, women's economic empowerment, financial inclusion, impact investment, philanthropy, government, advocacy or the for-purpose sector.
Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and influence across diverse stakeholder groups.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare high-quality briefings, reports, talking points and other strategic materials.
Sound analytical capability, with the ability to gather, interpret and communicate qualitative and quantitative information.
Experience delivering against strategic goals while adapting to new information, stakeholder needs and emerging opportunities.
