Mobile Maintenance Leading Hand – Underground Mining - Cablebolt Division

Mobile Maintenance Leading Hand
to support day‐to‐day underground mobile plant maintenance operations within the Cablebolt division onsite at a remote WA Gold Mine.
This role is ideal for a hands‐on leader who thrives in a fast‐paced mining environment and is committed to safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

About the Role
Working closely with the Site Supervisor, you will coordinate and execute maintenance activities to ensure production targets, statutory requirements, and preventative maintenance schedules are met.
You'll lead a small team, drive safe work practices, and maintain strong communication across maintenance and production departments.
This is a 2/2 FIFO Roster out of Perth.
Interstate flights can be negotiated into rate.
$120 per hour plus super on all hours.
ABN rates are available.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise underground activities, including drill operations (Cablebolt exposure preferred)
Oversee and manage a small onsite workshop, including maintenance personnel
Lead a small team of operators and fitters
Prioritise maintenance tasks to meet production and operational requirements
Ensure protected work methods are implemented and followed
Support Apprentices on site in line with Training Procedures
Deliver on maintenance objectives including PM schedules,
statutory inspections, and corrective actions
Conduct daily pre‐shift meetings when the Site Supervisor is unavailable
Ensure maintenance personnel comply with site procedures and safety standards
Complete work orders and documentation in accordance with site policies and procedures.
Manage inventory transactions and parts receival processes
Perform departmental safety interactions, hazard hunts, and corrective actions
Maintain detailed shift logs for reliability reporting
Ensure verified parts are receipted correctly and delivery dockets submitted within required timeframes

S26 Statutory Supervisor Qualification
Statutory Supervisor EXAM - PASSES
Trade Certification - Cert III Mobile Plant Mechanic Or Similar
Previous experience in mobile plant maintenance within underground mining specifically cablebolting - Experience with Sandvik DS422i required - (or similar will be considered)
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement
Ability to work collaboratively with maintenance, production, and planning teams
Competence in maintenance systems, inventory processes, and documentation

Fit & Healthy to meet Underground Pre-employment medical Criteria and physical demands
