Providing facilities services to various clients throughout Darwin Paspalis is seeking a casual gardener to work Monday to Friday (with the flexible to start earlier and finish later if needed).
As an integral part of the facilities team your day will be anything but dull as you work on various commercial and residential sites in the Darwin CBD and surrounding suburbs.
Our eyes and ears on the ground (having high regard to safety and attention to detail) your key responsibility will be to manage the upkeep and appearance of each site delivering reliable, high quality gardening services to our clients as well as reporting back to the Operations Supervisor and Property & Facility Services Manager any evident issues.
We are looking for a reliable, adaptable and motivated individual who possess a positive/ proactive attitude.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Operating a push or ride on mower
Operating a brush cutter, hedger or blower vac
Weeding garden beds by hand and applying herbicides
Trimming trees and hedges
Repairing and installing irrigation systems
Mulching garden beds
Picking up and removing rubbish and green waste from sites
Consulting with clients regarding future recommended works
Installing, repairing and maintaining irrigation systems
To be successful in this integral role you will need:
Proven experience in a similar role
1-2 years of gardening experience required
Competent communication & interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritise and follow tasks through in a timely manner
Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently
Valid manual drivers' licence and previous experience towing a trailer
Planning on staying in Darwin long term
Valid work visa accepted for this position
