We are seeking an experienced
Yard Team Leader
to join our Darwin team.
This hands-on leadership role will oversee the day-to-day receipting operations at off-site locations, ensuring freight is accurately received, documented, and processed for one of our major customers.
You will lead and support a team of operators, coordinate with key stakeholders, monitor KPIs, and maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
What You'll Be Doing
Oversee the day-to-day receipting operations at off-site locations.
Ensure all incoming freight is accurately received, documented, and processed.
Lead, train, and support a team of operators.
Allocate daily tasks and monitor team performance, productivity, and adherence to KPIs.
Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and WHS requirements.
Act as the first point of contact for operational escalations and problem resolution.
Liaise with drivers, warehouse personnel, and transport planners to coordinate delivery schedules.
Ensure freight is correctly labelled, barcoded, and updated within logistics systems.
What You'll Bring
Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience within a warehousing, transport, or logistics environment.
Valid Australian Forklift Licence with practical operating experience.
Strong understanding of logistics and transport operations.
Experience using logistics systems and handheld scanning technology (SAP experience highly regarded).
Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and time management skills.
