About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Office Manager & Accounts Receivable Officer
to join our Administration & Finance team.
This is a diverse leadership role combining office management with responsibility for the end-to-end Accounts Receivable function across the Brown Group of Companies.
You'll lead our administration team while ensuring accurate customer invoicing, debt collection, account reconciliations and exceptional customer service.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has excellent organisational skills and takes pride in maintaining efficient office operations and healthy business cash flow.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the daily operations of the Administration Team
Provide guidance, mentoring and support to administration staff
Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable
Prepare and issue customer invoices, progress claims and project billing
Process receipting, payment allocations and account reconciliations
Monitor outstanding debtors and actively follow up overdue accounts
Maintain customer records, credit applications and account information
Prepare Accounts Receivable ageing reports and assist with cash flow reporting
Liaise with operational managers to resolve billing queries and customer enquiries
Support continuous improvement initiatives across administration and finance functions
Assist with general office management including office supplies,
uniforms and administration systems
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
Minimum 5 years' experience in an Office Manager, Accounts Receivable or Senior Administration position
Previous leadership or supervisory experience
Strong Accounts Receivable and debtor management experience
Excellent organisational and time management skills
High attention to detail with strong numerical accuracy
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Experience using accounting software (MYOB) and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Outlook)
Ability to prioritise competing deadlines within a busy environment
Experience within civil construction, transport, earthmoving or project-based industries will be highly regarded
Current National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one
