About the
prospect:
An exciting opportunity has
become available for a Manager, Mineral Tenements to lead the
Mineral Tenements team within the Resource Tenure Branch of the
Regulation and Compliance Division.
Reporting to the Director,
Resource Tenure, you will lead a team of eight staff responsible
for administering the Mining Act **** and associated regulations.
You will ensure the grant and management of mining and exploration
tenure is delivered in accordance with legislative requirements,
departmental policies and operational standards.
This role provides strategic
leadership, expert advice and policy direction across complex
mineral tenement matters while driving business improvement
initiatives and supporting the delivery of secure legal tenure
outcomes for South Australia's mining and exploration
sector.
Key Duties:
Lead the
Mineral Tenements Team to deliver critical business objectives
and the secure grant of legal tenure to mining and exploration
operations.
Provide high
level leadership, expertise and advice on complex mineral
tenement lease and licence matters.
Deliver
expert interpretation and policy analysis relating to tenement
administration to support informed decision making.
Lead the
development and continuous improvement of policies, procedures
and operational frameworks.
Manage
complex stakeholder issues, enquiries and business improvement
initiatives.
Lead
strategic projects that support legislative compliance and
operational excellence.
Build and
maintain productive relationships with government agencies,
industry stakeholders and internal customers.
Foster an
inclusive, collaborative and high performing team

Experience

Qualifications:
Desirable: Qualifications in
management, policy or a legal related discipline.
Remuneration:
Classificaiton: ASO8
Salary Range: $125,970 to
$138,264 per annum (plus superannuation)
Full time role
Working 37.5 hours per
week.
Special
Conditions:
This position is classified as a
designated position and appointment is subject to a satisfactory
National Police Clearance.
Some out of hours work and
intra-state travel (including overnight absences) may be
required.
The incumbent is expected to
uphold the ethical behaviour and professional integrity standards
contained in the Public Sector Act ****.
