Sante Recruitment is seeking a motivated Career Medical Officer (CMO) to join the team at Dubbo Private Hospital.

Responsibilities
As a Career Medical Officer, you will provide comprehensive inpatient medical care under the supervision of Specialist Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs).
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations
Manage inpatient care plans and document clinical findings
Order and interpret investigations
Prescribe medications and initiate appropriate treatments
Respond to Medical Emergency Team (MET) calls
Coordinate patient transfers where required
Liaise with Specialists, General Practitioners, Allied Health and nursing staff
Participate in discharge planning from admission through to discharge




Counsell patients and their families regarding treatment plans
Participate in clinical handovers, quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary meetings
Perform procedures within your scope of practice
Procedural Skills
The successful candidate will be confident in a range of core procedural skills.
Venepuncture and intravenous cannulation
Airway management
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Defibrillation
Intramuscular injections
Safe administration of intravenous medications and fluids
Blood product administration
Suturing, wound care and bandaging
Nasogastric tube insertion
Urinary catheterisation
