You will provide high-level advice on legislative interpretation, administrative decision-making and disclosure requirements, supporting transparent and accountable public sector practices.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess complex RTI access and amendment applications in accordance with statutory requirementsDraft detailed decision notices and prepare submissions for matters under external reviewProvide accurate and timely advice to internal and external stakeholders regarding legislative obligations and complianceInterpret and apply legislation,



subordinate instruments and relevant case lawConduct research on statutory interpretation and emerging RTI best practiceLiaise with business units to identify, review, collate and appropriately redact responsive documentationMaintain legislative records and contribute to publication scheme and disclosure log requirementsProvide clear, concise and well-reasoned written materials tailored to wide-ranging audiencesTo be successful, you will demonstrate:Proven experience processing RTI applications within a government or statutory environmentStrong understanding of statutory interpretation principles and administrative decision-makingAdvanced drafting capability, including complex notices, briefs and formal correspondenceHighly developed written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical skills with the ability to exercise sound judgementEffective stakeholder engagement and case management capability
