is accountable to the Project Engineer Manager and provides software engineering support within the engineering framework.
The role supports the review and assurance of system‐level artefacts, including, system planning, integration, design and development, and test and evaluation (T&E;), across Mission and Support Systems, and the execution of system reviews.
The position contributes to maintaining documentation repositories for engineering activities in compliance with Defence policy, regulatory requirements and legislated standards.
This role operates under general direction, contributing to engineering outcomes within a complex, collaborative, and multi‐national environment.Essential RequirementsBachelor of Engineering from an Australian institution, or a qualification gained elsewhere, that satisfies the requirements of the Washington Accord for recognition as a professional engineer.Eligible to access ITAR‐controlled informationDemonstrated experience (approx. 2‐5 years) in a relevant engineering roleUnderstanding of software engineering methods, software design and development processesExperience supporting software engineering activities for major capital acquisitionAbility to apply established engineering standards, tools and processesStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skillsAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary teamAbility to manage own work and priorities under general directionDesirable RequirementsExperience with Software Engineering tools and methodsExperience within Defence or similar high assurance environmentsExperience with systems engineering practicesFamiliarity with JORN or OTHR capabilityKnowledge of relevant Defence engineering frameworks and standardsRequired Security Clearance LevelNV1LocationAdelaideWeekly Hours40
