The Role
The Sydney-based Administrative Coordinator for the Cross-Industry Risk Division (CRD) division provides high-quality support to General Managers and senior leaders across the division.
While reporting to the General Manager Non‐Financial Risk, the role provides support across the broader CRD leadership team and works collaboratively with other administrative professionals across APRA.
This role is instrumental in enabling leadership effectiveness through proactive diary and task management, stakeholder engagement, and coordination of divisional and branch activities.
With a focus on strategic alignment and operational excellence, the Administrative Coordinator contributes to the delivery of APRA's priorities by managing complex logistics, supporting external engagements, and driving consistency in divisional reporting and communications.
The role requires sound judgement, adaptability, and a strong understanding of divisional and branch goals to ensure seamless execution and support.
The team
The Cross-Industry Risk Division (CRD) provides APRA with a unique view of prudential risk, identifying emerging trends, vulnerabilities and interconnected risks across industries, entity cohorts and risk classes.
By bringing together supervisory insights from across the financial system, CRD enables proactive risk identification, assessment and management to strengthen supervisory outcomes and support APRA's objective of a protected, resilient and stable financial system.
You will liaise closely with Business Managers, Executive Assistants and Administration Coordinators to ensure seamless execution of shared responsibilities and support for organisational outcomes.
Key responsibilities
Provide high-quality support to the General Manager and other members of the leadership team to enable efficiency and effectiveness;
Manage complex GM calendars, prioritise tasks and correspondence, and ensure timely progression of divisional and branch activities;
Facilitate the successful execution of key internal cross-divisional and branch events;
Contribute to divisional and branch consistency and clarity through structured support, proactive coordination and clear communication;
Identify opportunities to streamline internal processes, improve ways of working and enhance the efficiency of divisional and branch operations;
Support meetings and reporting preparation and liaise with cross‐functional teams to ensure alignment and delivery;
Coordinate and track divisional administrative activities, ensuring actions, deliverables and key milestones are progressed and completed;
Manage travel bookings and expense reconciliations for senior leaders, ensuring timely and accurate coding and compliance with financial policies; and
Foster strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across APRA by building trust and maintaining open communication, enabling effective coordination of administrative activities and alignment of divisional priorities.
About you
Experience in an executive support and/or business coordination role, or adjacent areas;
Agility to navigate dynamic environments to deliver mutually beneficial outcomes;
Strong interpersonal, communication, stakeholder management skills to facilitate positive outcomes;
High integrity to manage confidential and sensitive information;
Strong organisational, time management, and multi‐tasking capability to efficiently meet deadlines;
Sound judgment and a proactive approach to problem solving and escalating when needed;
Commitment to working well in a collaborative team environment and flexibility in identifying and making changes to enhance operations; and
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.
