Kempe Engineering has secured contracts for fixed plant mechanical maintenance across multiple operations in the Pilbara.
We are building our Perth-based FIFO team and looking for experienced tradespeople.
We have been delivering mechanical maintenance services safely to operations in the Pilbara for over 25 years.
Zero lost time injuries in 20 years.
This is a proven operation expanding into a significant current contract.
We are hiring across the following roles:
• Boilermakers
• Mechanical Fitters
What you will be doing
Fixed plant shutdown and maintenance work across several operations in the Pilbara.
This includes sub-component changeouts, overhauls, screen maintenance, conveyor systems, wet plant equipment, apron feeders, and general mechanical maintenance on some of the largest fixed plant assets in Australian mining.
What we offer
• Casual rates from $65 to $70 per hour (role dependent)
• FIFO from Perth — flights, accommodation, and meals provided
• Work across multiple Pilbara sites — variety and site experiences
• Priority consideration for people who perform — consistent performers get first call on every shutdown
• Genuine pathway into permanent roles and career progression as the contract grows
• Direct employment with Kempe — not through a labour hire intermediary
What we are looking for
• Australian-recognised trade qualification (Cert III in Engineering — Mechanical Trade, or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years' post-trade experience in fixed plant maintenance preferrable
• Existing Pilbara site inductions are highly regarded but not essential — we will support you through the on-boarding process
• Driver's license
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening
• Right to work in Australia
