Our Further Processing Plant in Edinburgh Parks has an opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor to join the day shift team.
In this leadership role, you'll be responsible for the safe, efficient, and quality-focused delivery of production operations across cooking, mixing, packing, cartoning, and related areas.
We're looking for someone with proven experience leading teams in a food manufacturing or similarly regulated environment.
You'll provide direct leadership to leading hands and operators, partnering with maintenance, quality, and HR to drive consistent results and a robust team culture.
Your ability to lead, develop, and inspire people will be critical to the success of the shift and the site overall.
Hours of Work
Afternoon Shift Roster, Monday to Friday, 2.00 pm to ***** PM.
Some weekend work may be required.
Please note: this role involves work in temperature-controlled environments

Daily Tasks:
Lead and develop your team through coaching, delegation, and recognition – building the capability to consistently meet shift targets
Supervise production operations across all night shift areas, ensuring output, quality, and schedule targets are met
Monitor KPIs and initiate corrective actions promptly when performance deviates from plan
Drive a strong safety culture – identify hazards, resolve food safety and quality issues,
and ensure compliance with all WHS and environmental requirements
Partner with maintenance to coordinate planned and reactive work, minimising downtime and disruption to production flow
Collaborate with the cleaning team to ensure scheduled cleans are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
Implement strategies to manage labour costs, reduce staff turnover, and maintain a productive and engaged workforce
Lead continuous improvement initiatives on shift – identifying waste and inefficiencies and implementing solutions using CI tools and frameworks
Communicate clearly across all levels of the business, including shift handover, toolbox talks, and escalation to the Production Manager as required
You will bring to this role:
Proven experience leading and engaging production teams in food manufacturing or a similarly regulated environment
Robust coaching and performance management skills – you give direct, constructive feedback and follow through
A genuine passion for continuous improvement, with experience applying CI tools and frameworks (formal qualifications well regarded)
Solid analytical ability – you can read production data, spot trends, and translate insights into action
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functionally and build effective relationships at all levels
Decisive and composed under pressure – comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Flexible and available for weekend work when production requirements demand it
