We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial Team.
If you're currently working as an Estimator, Measurement Engineer or Cost Engineer rather than a "Quantity Surveyor" by title — if you can measure it, price it and explain how it gets built — we want to hear from you too.
About Wormall Civil:
WA-owned and family-run since *********+ years delivering land development, roads and civil infrastructure across the state.
400+ people, a Tier 1 civil contractor for Development WA and R2 prequalified with Main Roads WA.
ISO ****, ***** and ***** certified with safety genuinely at the centre of how we operate.
A project pipeline that runs from Perth's growth corridors through to regional WA and the Pilbara — real variety, not the same subdivision on repeat.
Part of the wider Wormall Group, with the flat structure and fast decision-making of a locally owned business.
About the role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be the person who turns drawings into numbers everyone else can trust.
Day to day, you'll:
Generate accurate quantities, BOQs and component/material lists from tender and Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings.
Work out how things will actually be built — methods, materials, plant — before the crews get there.
Spot the differences between what was tendered and what's now being built and quantify the variation.
Prepare the schedules, templates and documentation that make claims, variations and tenders airtight.
Partner closely with Procurement — feeding them the numbers they need to buy right and feeding off their real-world cost feedback to sharpen your next take-off.
About you:
Background in quantity surveying, estimating or measurement within civil construction, land development or infrastructure.
Confident reading and interpreting civil drawings, specifications and construction methodology.
Comfortable with take-off software — experience with Bluebeam, CostX or Cubit highly regarded.
Sharp with numbers, organised and genuinely curious about how projects get built and what they cost.
Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field (AIQS/RICS eligibility a plus).
What's in it for you:
A genuine career pathway and future opportunities — our Commercial Team is rapidly growing along with us, and we are expanding our tools and team.
Exposure to a broad, varied project pipeline instead of a single-client treadmill.
Hands-on training, mentoring and a flat, approachable leadership team.
The stability of a 40-year, WA-owned business — not a here-today, gone-tomorrow contractor.
Plenty of free parking and the chance to work from our Osborne Park or Cardup locations.
Applying:
Applications are preferred via this job ad, so please submit your up-to-date resume and cover letter.
Please note only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
