Perth Racing (the trading name of the West Australian Turf Club) is the premier thoroughbred racing club in WA, operating both Ascot and Belmont Park racecourses.
As a multi-faceted racing, entertainment and event business, we stage more than 90 race meetings per year, including Melbourne Cup Day at Ascot, Perth Cup, the Pinnacles series and The Quokka.
The role
Perth Racing is seeking an Events Coordinator who will play an important role in planning and coordinating the successful delivery of race day hospitality, ticketed events and reserved area experiences.
The role manages all aspects of event administration, including bookings, ticketing, event documentation, client liaison, supplier coordination and operational planning, ensuring every event is delivered efficiently and to the highest standard.
Working collaboratively within the Events team, you will support the seamless execution of race days, assist with non-race day events as required and contribute to the achievement of revenue and customer service objectives.
The role is also responsible for maintaining accurate financial and administrative processes and managing client expectations.

This is a full-time position which will include race day work on Saturdays during peak periods.

Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who will be responsible for the following:
· Preparation of racebook orders, racebook schedules and gate ticket lists
· Plan,



co-ordinate and manage the execution of race-day bookings in our restaurants and reserved areas
· Co-ordinate all ticketed functions and plated events including floor plans, tickets and suppliers as required
· Proactively seek new business opportunities to grow race-day event revenue
· Manage and control all Event Orders, Booking Reports & Floor Plans for Event Operations Team to ensure function requirements are up to date
· Plan & co-ordinate Non-Race day bookings
· Ticket all restaurant and reserved area bookings with Digital Ticketing procedure
· Manage and order all Trophies for all races throughout the calendar year
· Invoicing
About you
You're an experienced Events Coordinator with a degree or diploma in Events, Business or a related field.
You have demonstrated proficiency in event management.
You have experience working in a fast-paced sporting, hotel or hospitality environment and can collaborate across functional departments.
