The Department for
Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people
and places in South Australia by managing roads, marine and public
transport networks across the State, and builds and maintains the
State-owned infrastructure that enables the delivery of essential
and important government services to our community.
The
Opportunity The position supports the
effective operation of the Traffic Management Centre and ITS by
delivering network technical support, systems administration and
fault resolution services.
It contributes across key ITS pillars,
including asset management, cyber security, change management,
incident reporting, and monitoring of network performance and
server capacity to ensure reliable and secure transport system
operations.
About
you You demonstrate strong
customer service capability, supported by sound knowledge of
relevant government programs, policies and legislation.
You possess
well-developed communication skills, enabling effective engagement,
negotiation and problem resolution.
You can work with limited
direction and have experience delivering complex functions, with
proven expertise across systems, services and regulatory
environments relevant to the role.
Educational
Qualifications / Licences
A current driver's
licence.
A
tertiary qualification in any data network (CCNA, Cyber
Security, Computer science) related discipline would be highly
regarded but is not essential
Special
Conditions
A National Police
Check (NPC) is required prior to employment with the Department
for Infrastructure and Transport and is required to be renewed
every three years.
A Working with
Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment with the
Department for Infrastructure and Transport, which must be
renewed every five years before expiry.
Work outside of normal




hours will be required as the role requires being on call for
response to emergencies for two (2) week durations in a
rostered rotation with other employees, spread at equal
intervals.
While on call the appointee must be immediately
contactable 24 hours / day, fit to drive and be available to
respond to emergency notifications and / or report to the
Traffic Management Centre on receipt of a call or
page.
Some out of hours and
weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring
overnight stays, may be required.
Tenure of
VacancyTemporary appointment up
to 12 months, with potential for extension.

- $82,212 to $86,180 pa + superannuation.
