As a Youth Support Service Caseworker, you will play
a vital role in delivering early intervention and outreach support to young
people who are at risk of entering the youth justice system.
Working across
community, family and service networks, you will provide tailored case
management, assessment and brief intervention support that responds to each
young person's unique circumstances.
Through building solid relationships, promoting engagement
in education, community and prosocial activities, and collaborating with a
range of services, you will help young people strengthen their wellbeing,
reduce risk factors and achieve meaningful, long-term outcomes.

About the Role
As a
Youth Support Service Caseworker
,
you will:
Engage with vulnerable young people and their families through
assertive outreach, building trusting relationships and supporting
positive outcomes.
Provide case management, assessment, planning, referral, and brief
intervention support using a trauma-informed and best-practice framework.
Collaborate with schools, community services, and specialist
providers to coordinate integrated responses that address identified needs
and risks.
Support young people to develop goals, strengthen protective
factors, and participate in prosocial activities that reduce the
likelihood of entering the youth justice system.

$105,834 (pro-rata) p/a + Super + Salary

We
value individuals who bring dedication, empathy,



and expertise to their roles.
To succeed in this position, you will have:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Youth Work,
Social Work, or Community Welfare (Diploma level or higher), or a suitable
combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated experience in case management or
brief intervention support for vulnerable individuals and families, using the
Best Interests Case Management Framework.
Proven ability to engage and support young
people at risk, including those displaying challenging behaviours, through a
trauma-informed approach.
Skilled in conducting needs assessments and
risk evaluations to guide planning and intervention strategies for individuals
and families.
Understanding of the Victorian Child Safe
Standards and a strong commitment to fostering a child-safe culture and
practice.
