VENERGY AUSTRALIA
South Australia
Take ownership of procurement, inventory and fulfilment across a fast-growing national energy business.
Venergy is an established Australian premium solar and battery company, delivering residential and commercial energy projects across South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia.
We are looking for a commercially minded
Procurement & Inventory Lead
who wants more than a traditional purchasing role.
This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of procurement, stock performance and fulfilment across four states.
You will have the autonomy to identify opportunities, solve problems, improve systems and directly influence business performance.
The opportunity
This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, analytical and commercially sharp.
You will not be waiting for instructions or simply processing purchase orders.
You will be expected to understand the operation, identify inefficiencies and bring forward practical recommendations supported by data.
Your work will have a direct impact on project delivery, supplier performance, working capital and gross profit.
What you will own
Manage the full purchasing and fulfilment cycle for projects across Australia, from purchase order through to distributor-direct delivery or subcontractor collection
Coordinate procurement requirements against project designs, installation schedules and equipment availability
Work closely with our SA Warehouse Manager on demand forecasting, stock replenishment, cycle counts and inventory accuracy
Identify and clear slow-moving, obsolete or excess stock to protect working capital
Maintain accurate inventory data, standard supply lists and bills of materials
Build and manage a cost-saving pipeline across equipment purchasing, freight, warehousing and inventory
Prepare supplier pricing benchmarks,
spend analysis and commercial insights to support negotiations
Monitor distributor and freight performance across multiple states
Provide weekly fulfilment reporting and monthly inventory and gross profit inputs to Finance
Act as the escalation point for distributors, subcontractors and internal teams when supply issues arise
What you will bring
Demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory or supply-chain management
Experience within solar, electrical, construction, manufacturing or wholesale distribution will be highly regarded
A strong track record of identifying and delivering cost savings, process improvements or inventory clean-ups
Confidence working independently and taking ownership of outcomes
Strong inventory, forecasting and demand-planning capability
Robust commercial judgement and confidence analysing supplier pricing and spend
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
A calm, solutions-focused approach when resolving urgent supply or fulfilment issues
Why this role is different
You will have real responsibility and direct access to the management team.
You will be trusted to improve the way we buy, hold and move stock across the business, and you will be able to see the financial and operational impact of your work.
You will not be buried inside a large procurement department, responsible for only one small part of a much larger process.
This is a role for someone who wants to take ownership, make improvements and build something better.
Think this sounds like you?
Apply with your CV and a short note telling us about one cost saving, inventory improvement or broken process you identified and fixed yourself.
We are far more interested in what you have improved than how many years you have spent doing the same thing.
