Position Overview:
The Procurement Officer is responsible for supporting the procurement and supply chain management functions of the organization.
This includes sourcing reliable suppliers, supporting the Procurement manager in ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, and aligning purchasing & supply chain management activities with organizational goals.
The Procurement Officer provides supports to the Procurement Manager to ensures compliance with procurement policies and fosters vendor relationships to support operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Job responsibilities:

Support the Procurement Manager for development and implementation of procurement strategies that align with business objectives.
- Support the Procurement Manager to Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, cost, and timely delivery.
- Support the Procurement Manager in negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers and vendors.
- Support the Procurement Manager to Monitor procurement KPIs, spending, and supplier performance.
- Support the Procurement Manager to Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.




- Support the Procurement Manager to Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., commercial, operations, finance, engineering) to understand procurement needs and specifications.
- Support the Procurement Manager to Manage purchase requisitions and orders through the ERP or procurement system in accordance with approved processes.
- Support the Procurement Manager to Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Support the Procurement Manager to Conduct market research to identify current products, trends, and potential suppliers.
- Support the Procurement Manager to Manage risk in the supply chain, including contingency planning.
Requirements:
Qualification and Experience:

Tertiary qualifications in the procurement, or a related field are an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 to 8 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- An understanding of contractual terms and contract and Proven experience with procurement software and SAP ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
